Founded in 1928, under the name "LS5 Estación Rivadavia", Radio Rivadavia has a rich history in Argentine radio. In 1933, it introduced the most successful and enduring program in Argentine radio history: La Oral Deportiva, the first sports-dedicated radio show, led by the iconic José María Muñoz, the most prominent sports journalist in Argentine radio.

In 1958, "El Rotativo del Aire" revolutionized journalistic coverage with a comprehensive system that incorporated both local and external correspondents. From broadcasting studios to the Casa de Gobierno, Radio Rivadavia kept listeners informed from varied locations across Buenos Aires, setting a pioneering trend.

Radio Rivadavia was the first station to offer 24-hour programming with popular shows such as Cacho Fontana's "Fontana Show", Juan Alberto Badia, and Ruben Aldao's "El Club de Las Barbas", which achieved record-breaking audiences that remain unmatched in Argentine radio.

Antonio Carrizo's "La Vida y El Canto" captivated audiences for over two decades and notably featured the remarkable interview with Jorge Luis Borges, later inspiring the book "Borges, el 'Memorioso'".

Hector Larrea's "Rapidísimo" pioneered the prominent morning slot on Radio Rivadavia, combining top-notch information with the humor of Mario Sanchez, Luis Landriscina, and Mario Sapag.

Prestigious journalists like Magdalena Ruiz Guiñazú, Maria Laura Santillán, Monica Gutierrez, and Lia Salgado graced these airwaves. Marcelo Tinelli and Enrique Llamas de Madariaga are just a few of the recognized figures whose careers were launched at Rivadavia.
